Santa's Checkin' His List

Emily absolutely believes in Santa again this year. She's never been fearful of sitting on his lap, and you should see her eyes light up each year when we visit him. We went to the Castle Rock Outlet Mall again this year and paid a ridiculous amount of money for one 5x7 and two 3x5 pictures. Caleb actually sat on his lap staring at his beard for about two minutes before starting to cry. We were both amazed.

Emily's list includes four items this year:
- A mobile for her dolls
- A Team Umizoomi workbook
- Bath Fizzies
- Roller Skates

She intended to ask Santa for a stuffed harp for Caleb, but (thankfully) forgot. It was actually a very thoughtful idea. He's always making a bee-line for the harps, and Emily thought if he had a stuffed harp, it would distract him from the real ones in the living room. I don't know that stuffed harps are readily available, though, so I'm glad we're not on the hook to find one for him.

And, to increase the wonder surrounding Santa, Dan created a video for her again this year. Last year's attempt was a big success. (Emily watched it sitting next to me in the hospital bed after Caleb was born.) She was even more amazed this year. If you care to watch, here's the link.
