Caleb's Birthday Party

I suppose it's no surprise that these pictures are two weeks late. I guess that just comes with having a birthday right before Christmas and then leaving town for a week.


We had a small party in the evening with friends and family. We didn't go all out with balloons like in November, but we couldn't resist at least a few. Caleb liked them and seemed to enjoy his little party.


He started with mac-n-cheese and peas for dinner. Look at that hair, laying down so nice!


Then it was on to presents. So much to take in!


His cake was supposed to look like one of Rodrigue's blue dogs, which have always delighted Caleb.


He didn't have a particularly gleeful reaction, but I think he might've made the connection.


I ordered a smash cake for him too - which turned out to be ridiculously huge. To say he was eager to dig in might be an understatement.


Despite it's size, he really put a dent in the thing! I'm glad Dan volunteered for clean-up afterward!

He had a happy day, start to finish. We're definitely looking forward to moving into the toddler years with this little guy!
