Tea Kettle Magic

This tea kettle has been an eye sore in our kitchen for years. Early in our marriage I spent a fair amount of time attempting to scrub it with various cleaners only to discover that it made no difference whatsoever. Even cleaners made specifically for stainless steel did nothing to improve the situation. I always considered buying a new kettle, but then just figured it wouldn't be long before a new one looked as awful as the old.

Then, a few weeks ago, I read somewhere online (wish I could remember) about other people using the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on stainless steel with incredible results. So, having a few under the kitchen sink already, I pulled one out to give it a whirl. To say that my expectations were low would be an understatement. But within seconds, the stains started to vanish! I was so amazed that I stopped scrubbing to take the "before" photo that you see above.

I will admit that there were a few, small stains that were a bit resistant and took a good bit of scrubbing to remove, but I think you'll agree that it's a whole new kettle now! Hooray!

I love those sponges so dearly, especially since our youngest has gone through a wall-art phase lately!! I don't know what's in'em and I probably don't want to know! They're just MAGICAL.
